Panchvati Pujan

Panchvati Pujan is a Mahapujan performed by strict Vedic procedure for the karmic afflictions the tradition sees behind lasting trouble in love, in relationships and in married life. It works on the grahas of the fifth house (love) and the seventh (marriage), and, as part of the same process, the tenth (career), which is the fourth — happiness — from the seventh.

The pujan includes Kalash and Panchang sthapana (Gauri Ganesh, Punyavachan, Shodash Matrika, Navgraha, Sarvatobhadra), 64 Yogini and Kshetrapal pujan, Swasti vachan and sankalp, Ganesh pujan and abhishek, Navgraha pujan with each graha's Vedic mantras in the count your chart calls for, the tri-phal mahavarnan procedure 108 times, the invocation of the major deities in the Kalash, Vishnu mantra japa (Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya), dakshina to the Brahmins — clothing, aasan and daily food — and Panchgras for cows, dogs, crows and the poor.

While it runs, the tradition asks you to keep from alcohol, meat and eggs, smoking and any intoxicant, to keep brahmacharya, and to stay close to the pujan in thought.
